Just a week until Thanksgiving.  November is going so fast.  Take a little time to relax with the Stampin' Blends.  You can create this lovely scene with these two stamp sets. 

Candy Cane Christmas

Poppy parade with a touch of Tranquil Tide behind the candy cane.  I used the 1/2" circle punch to cut corner out of Whisper White square. Love the handwritten look of the Merry Christmas greeting on card.  A simple yet elegant card. 

Snowflakes and Snowmen

It may be raining outside, but snowflakes are in my craft room.  Balmy Blue paper covered in snowflakes make a perfect layering piece.  Snow is Glistening and Spirited Snowman work great together.

Snow is Glistening available November 2018 is perfect with the Spirited Snowmen stamp set. Stampin' Blends in Real Red, Crumb Cake and Night of Navy. Balmy Blue ink for snowflakes and tree. 

Flirty Flamingo Daisies

Daises are one of my favorite flowers.  I love paper crafting and some of my favorite stamp sets are Daisy Delight and  Healing Hugs. The rose is beautiful in that set.   That is how I came up with the name for my blog.  Paper Roses and Daisies.   By the way,  Flirty Flamingo is the cardstock on this project.  Hope you like it. 

Happy Leaves

I adore the Detailed Leaves Thinlits in the Holiday catalog.  I combined leaves of Granny Apple Green and Lemon-Lime Twist with the flower from the Happiness Surrounds in Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape.

Happiness Surrounds

I have a friend opening a new store today.  I wanted to make her a Congratulations card.  I also am participating in a color challenge.  Card must use Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather.  Happiness Surrounds stamp set fit both perfectly.  This is available to demonstrators now and to customers only during the month on November.  I also used the Snowflake Thinlits.  This is another item only available in November 2018.

Light of the World

Another example for the Christmas card buffet.  Love the Star of Light.  Done in my new favorite Christmas combination. Tranquil Tide, Merry Merlot and Whisper White.

Star of Bethlehem

Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide ink on Whisper White. Rhinestone accents add just a little something extra to the card.  I wanted to keep it simple.  Shining light on the reason for the season.

Mistletoe and Snowflakes

I used Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide ink.  Color choice inspired by a Designer Series Paper pack in the Holiday catalog.   I am working on a design for a Stamping event.  I think this will be a nice addition to the Christmas card event.

Card Buffet

We have had a nice time sharing card ideas with others.  Balmy Blue and Night of Navy owl was one of the cards my friend shared at the buffet.

This was a three day event.  We were busy the first two days.  Saturday was a slower day, giving us time to experiment. Check out the brightly colored milk cans.  First milk can done in a combination of light orange  and light Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends.  Followed by milk cans in Blackberry Bliss and Calypso Coral.

Snowflakes and Candy Canes

Shaded Spruce and Whisper White cardstock.  Candy Cane Season stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  Seasonal Layer Thinlits snowflakes and a pearl accent complete the card.

Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Pineapple Punch Ink.  Pretty Pines Thinlits and Tin Tile Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. 

Summer in the Park

Companion card to previous post.  This time I used the planter with Mango Melody for the vase.  I used Mint Macaron and Grapefruit Grove for the layers of the card.

Blackberry Bliss and Lemon-Lime Twist for Base. Stampin Blends of Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze.   Greeting in Blacberry Bliss. Accents of rhinestones or Metallic Sequins finish the cards.

Revising a Card

Fun Day of Stamping.  Sometimes not everything turns out the way we want.  I stamped just a few snowflakes from Making Every Day Bright.  But felt this card needed more.  Since I didn't"t have that set, I decided to use Candy Cane Season.  I also added a Merry Merlot Bow and the Candy cane from the Stamp set to cover some tape residue.

Peaceful Noel in Fall Colors

Grapefruit Grove, Early Espresso, Call Me Clover and Tranquil Tide are the colors of the branches and berries used on this card.  I used the greetings from Southern Serenade. Another card using the awesome Stamparatus!!!

View Across Lilypad Lake

I love Coastal Cabana.  So glad Stampin' Up! brought back this color.
I added Wink of Stella all over the bird. I also added a layer of Basic Black cardstock and Metallic Sequin on greeting.  Wish I had the Take Your Pick Tool when I was adding sequins to these cards.   Stampin write markers in Pineapple Punch and Grapefruit Grove completed card.

Stamparatus by Stampin' Up! this is a great tool.  All of my recent cards, I have used this amazing alignment tool.

Rhinestone Cross-Stitch Christmas

Poppy Red  is a gorgeous color.  I used that for the Joy and the card base.  I again combined three new green shades. Call Me Clover, Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green for the tree.  The rhinestones are adorable.  I have enjoyed making the cards featuring this set. 

Sweet Sunflowers

I planted a few sunflowers this summer.  Some are the beautiful Red Sun Sunflowers.  They inspired the color combination of Pineapple Punch, Poppy Parade and Soft Suede.  Detailed Trio Punch used in corners.

Cross-Stitch Christmas with Ornaments

I was showing several of these cards to a friend, and she asked why I had scattered rhinestones around the card and not on the tree.  I thought that is a great idea.  I came home from work and made this card with some white pearls that I colored with Stampin' Blends for ornaments.  I also continued my series of cards with the Detailed Trip Punch.  The inks used on the tree are Garden Green, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz.   I used Mango Melody Blends for the ornaments.  I will try out the rhinestones on the tree in another post.

Pacific Point, Blueberry Bushel and Balmy Blue are the colors in the tree.  This is a special card for a special day.  Joy in the birth of our savior.

Tranquil Tide & Peaceful Noel

2018 Holiday Catalog is live.   This card features the stamp set Peaceful Noel.  Detailed Trio Punch made the perfect corners for the card.  Soft Suede, Call Me Clover, Tranquil Tide and Poppy Parade were used for the berries and branches in the design.  The Stamparatus  aided in repeated placement. 

Watercolored Crafting Forever

More of my favorite crafts.  It has been a long time since I quilted or attempted to paint. Stamping has become my crafting choice these days. So this stamp set was another must have item. I used Soft Suede and  Embossed with Quilt TopTextured Impressions Embossing Folder. Stitched Shape Framelits and Stitched Label Framelits were also used.  Did you get the watercolor pencils that were available in August?  I combined those with the first set for a rainbow of paint brush colors.

Tutorial - Alignment of Cross-Stitched Christmas

I wanted to make a card using the new Cross-Stitched Christmas.  When I stamped the three tree images, I had a difficult time with correct placement.  I tried to line up from the left side, but that did not work well for me.  I finally found an area near the bottom of all three stamps that I used.  I choose three contrasting colors until I got my stamps properly aligned in my Stamparatus.  I circled the main area I used for alignment.  In step 2 I circled the specific areas that I wanted to match up with step 1.

align with other images.  It took some time but I finally got a Satisfactory stamped image. Yay!!!

 Step 4 is  a Mango Melody Star and Soft Suede tree trunk.  This is the completed sample.  Lets put this together in a card.

This is the completed card in Granny Apple Green, Call Me Clover and Shaded Spruce.

With accent piece stamped from Buffalo Check that is also available in the Holiday catalog.

Stamping and Cross-Stitch

For many years I enjoyed counted cross-stitch but, recently I enjoy stamping as a hobby.  So when I saw Cross-Stitch Christmas, I knew this was a must have item.  The three step stamping turned out to be challenging, but the results are worth the effort.  Tree is Granny Apple Green, Call Me Clover and Shaded Spruce.  Buffalo Check stamped accent.

Tropical Dreams

I just love pink and green together.  Lovely Lipstick with Old Olive, Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist make a beautiful combination.  Tropical Thinlits is a wonderful die set.  Love that you can just cut the leaf from cardstock or, you can cut around the stamped image.   I think you will enjoy using this bundle.

Kick-start to Christmas

Four months until Christmas!!  Time to start thinking about Holiday Cards.  Simple card colored with blender pens.  I used Tranquil Tide, and Smoky Slate.  I also added Wink of Stella.  Faux bow completed card.

Peaceful Pleasant Pheasants

This stamp set is going to be so adorable for many of my fall projects.  The new Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Poppy Parade are perfect.  I also used Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry on the male pheasant.  The hen is just the Stampin' Blends Crumb Cake.   I also used Crumb Cake and Old Olive cardstock.   The sentiment is from Still Night.   The ground started with Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends, but I changed my mind and put Crumb Cake over it.  I like how it turned out.

Special Owl

Today we will preview Night Owl Thinlits and Still Night. I used layers of  Whisper White and Old Olive on a Crumb Cake card base.  Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder was used on the card.   The owl was stamped in Soft Suede.  I used Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze from Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2.  This was blended with Stampin' Up! Blender Pens. Branch  used Soft Suede cardstock. Stamp set from Holiday Catalog 2018.

Flashback Friday

This was a host set from 2018 Occasions Catalog.  What a lovely cottage design.  I may need to make another card, with all the additional green choices in the Stampin' Blends in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  The new Holiday catalog, has an additional green choice also.    Shaded Spruce will be perfect for all your Christmas cards.

Painted Milk Can

I believe any color combination looks great on a card.  I used Smoky Slate, Cajun Craze and Whisper White.  The "painting" on the milk can is from the stamp set Apron of Love.

Apron in Pear Pizzazz with Pacific Point dots from Awesomely Artistic stamped in background of card.  Great for Mother's Day or Birthday.  This set is too cute!!!

Bluebird Bliss

I used Marina Mist for card base.  The bird was done with an aqua painter using Blueberry Bushel and Cajun Craze. 

By the Shore Puzzle Pieces

Today, I wanted to try the Puzzle Piece Thinlits.  Sometimes when I am trying something new I will pull out some old paper to try it on.  That is the case with this card.  Soft Sky and By the Shore Designer Series Paper were perfect.  It really was a puzzle, fitting the starfish pieces together.

I choose Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral paper.  I also used the Stamparatus for Calypso Coral solid cake.  Then addedBasic Black layer.

Feeling of Fall
