Season's Greetings

Shaded Spruce Cardbase and Whisper White cardstock are used to create this winter card.  Ink pads used are Soft Suede, Balmy Blue and Shaded Spruce.  This stamp set and coordinating Peaceful Boughs dies are a must have set.  

Wonderful Time of Year

Mint Macaron and Poppy Parade look gorgeous together.  I embossed the Poppy Parade cardstock with the Winter Knit embossing folder.  The greeting is also from the Free Skate stamp set and was stamped I with Mint Macaron ink.  I used the Timeless Label Punch to cut out the greeting.  The skates were colored with Basic Black Stampin' Blends on heel.  I also used Soilver Foil sheets for blade.  

Countdown to Christmas

So glad to create a new post.  I have been having trouble with both the watermark app and the blogging app. Tried using. Both today and everything seems to be working again. Today's card uses the stamparatus with the gorgeous images in the Countdown to Christmas

 Poppy Parade was used for card base.  ink colors are Balmy Blue. P.oppyb Parade and Pretty Peackock. Greeting from Toile Christmas.  Also used Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blends.

Mother's Day Florals

This blog post will feature a stamp set from the new annual catalog that will be available June 4, 2019.  I used the new stamp set A Little Lace.  We started with a card base of Merry Merlot and a layer of Blushing Bride card stock was added to the base.   I stamped the flower design in Merry Merlot.  I used Stampin' Blends in Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Crumb Cake to color the image.  The greeting is from the Paper Pumpkin kit from April 2019 and it is also stamped in Merry Merlot.  I completed the card using Merry Merlot and the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch.

Best Catch in the Bay

My card base is Pool Party.  A beautiful color that I don't use often enough.  I did a lot of masking on this card,  I started the card by positioning the fisherman just right of the  approximate center of the card.  I then stamped the house stamp in the lower left corner.   I stamped both of these stamps again on posted notes and fussy cut them out to create mask. I put the mask over my stamped images to protect them when I stamped my water.    I added the water from High Tide over the masked image.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black for stamping.  I removed the mask and colored with my  Stampin' Blends.   I used Dark Pool Party for the water.   For the fisherman I used Dark Night of Navy for pants.  I also used Crumb Cake for hat, boots and bags.  The house is colored in Light Calypso Coral,  with a Crumb Cake roof.  The windows used a little Light Pineapple Punch.  the house further away was colored with Soft Suede.  Smoky Slate for Steps and Old Olive Stampin' Blends for grass and bushes.  I stamped the moon from the High Tide stamp set in Pineapple Punch.  I then masked the sun, fisherman and the house.  I also masked a horizon line.  I used a sponged brayer to create sky.  I started with Balmy Blue.  I decided I wanted a darker sky, so I then added Blueberry Bushel until I got a dark  sky area.   I removed my mask and added the birds over the moon area.   Then I added the greeting with Dimensionals.  

Razzleberry Lilies for Easter

Stampin' Up Rich Razzleberry lilies for Easter with Granny Apple Green leaves.  Greeting from His Grace.  The font on this stamp set is beautiful.  Don't you just love the Distinktive stamp sets!  Shading and Highlighting on the same stamp.   I used  the stamps with the Stamparatus to make this lily card.  Another beautiful stamp set that will be retiring at the end of March.  Don't miss out

Painted Seasons in Berry Burst

I wanted to showcase this wonderful set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  This card features the soon to be retiring Berry Burst paper and ink.   I also used Coastal Cabana ink  for some of the flowers on card.  I used the Lace Dynamics Textured Impressions Embossing folder on Whisper White for background design.   Greeting is from the stamp set Golden Afternoon  and it is cut out with Stitched Labels Framelits.  Don't let this stamp set slip away.  It  is available only until the end of this month.

Someone Left a Gate Open

Let it Ride is gorgeous stamp set for horse lovers, and also a great stamp for masculine cards.   Night of Navy was used for card base and it is layered with Crumb Cake.   Did you see the design on the Crumb Cake?  That is the new background stamp called Crackle Paint.  I used Soft Suede ink to make the crackle design.    This card was adapted from a sample that was made at a card buffet.   We used Home to Roost  stamp set with this same background design and Burlap Ribbon.  For this card I spritz blue for the sky, but most of mine went behind where I wanted to stamp the horse.  This turned ourt to be a happy accident,  It made him look like he was kicking up water.  Shaded Spruce was used for the trees and Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends were used on the horse.  I sponged the edge with Crumb Cake ink.  This stamp set would make a great addition to your Stampin' Up collection.

Painted Seasons

I thought of you today.   Who wouldn't want to receive a card with this greeting.   This card features Berry Burst and Soft Sea Foam.  The Greeting is from Climbing Roses and uses the retired framelits that match this stamp set.  I also used the Dot to Dot embossing folder on the Berry Burst card base. 

Then I layered it with Whisper White using the Stitched Rectangle framelits.  I cut out the succulent plants using the matching Four Season Framelits.

Fable Friends and Golden Afternoon

Granny Apple Green card base embossed with Layered Leaves Textured Embossing Folder.  I stamped the trees with Memento Ink Tuxedo Black.  I used a Blender Pen and colored leaves with Granny Apple Green.   I used Soft Suede and Early Espresso for tree trunk.   I sponged So Saffron in some of the white space on the card.  I cut out using Stitched Rectangle Framelits.    Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon completed the first layer.  Greeting is from Birthday Cheer and cut out using Stitched Labels Framelits.    The bunny from Fable Friends was stamped also with Tuxedo Black Ink on another Stitched Rectangle.  I used Stampin' Blends Granny Apple Green for the cute little jacket.  Bunny is in Soft Suede and inside ears are Petal Pink Stampin' Blends.

A Bunny for Baby

I recently needed a card for an upcoming baby shower.  I chose the cute bunny from Fable Friends.  .  Dot to Dot embossing folder goes perfect with the Fable Friends stamp set.  I once again chose Lemon Lime Twist for my layering piece and Fresh Fig for my card base. I used some retired ribbon that was recently in the clearance rack for my tag.  The tag was cut using the Detailed Birthday Edgelits.   The bunny was colored using Stampin' Blends Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green and Petal Pink.   

More Golden Afternoon

I am loving the new stamp Golden Afternoon.  I keep finding other stamp sets that I want to combine with this stamp.  Today I pulled out the Foxy Friends and Calypso Coral ink for the fox.   The trees from Golden Afternoon were colored with Stampin' Blends Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Old Olive.  The Greeting from Birthday Cheer.

Classic Car

Blueberry Bushel and Balmy Blue are perfect for this Father's Day card.  I am working on card ideas for a card buffet that I am hosting with my upline this weekend.  I knew Geared Up Garage was gong to be one of the stamp sets that I used.  I am pleased with the results.  I used Maps Etc. embossing folder on Balmy Blue for my layering piece.   I also used Blueberry Bushed ribbon, and Silver Foil Sheets that I added Black Stazon to tarnish.  I love that so many stamp sets now have matching thinlits.  I used Garage Gear thinlits to cut out car, greeting and gears.  

Layered Leaves in Clover

Call Me Clover is card base and I embossed it with Layered Leaves Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I chose the Golden Afternoon stamp set and blending pens to color the card with Call Me Clover, Soft Suede and Early Expresso. 

Because of You

I love to combine Stampin' Up Ink colors Blushing Bride and Lovely Lipstick on a card.  Today I have chosen the Beauty Abounds stamp for an easy card.   I randomly stamped Blushing Bride circles on the  card.  Then I added the splatter with Lovely Lipstick.    I added a few Stamped Butterflies that were cut with the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits.   The  greeting is from You're Inspiring stamp set.   I used the Story Label Punch that is available during the month of March, to cut out the greeting.  I added a Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon under the greeting.

Sweet Easter Bunny

Just a few more months until 2017-2019 In Colors are retired.  Today I choose Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Fig to showcase.   I just love this sweet bunny from Fable Friends.  I used the Basket Weave embossing folder and Stitched Framelits on card.  I added a few tiny butterflies from Butterfly Beauty Thinlits.   Stampin' Blends used on the bunny  are Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green and Petal Pink.

Tranquil Afternoon

Recently I saw a piece of fabric featuring trees and wildlife.  I immediately thought of the  Golden Afternoon stamp set and how it would pair wonderfully with Dashing Deer.   I added some grass from the stamp set Sitting Here. I used Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Tranquil Tide on the Trees.   It has been awhile since I have used the blender pens, but they worked perfect on the trees from Golden Afternoon.   Deer were stamped in Early Espresso and the birds done in Black.

Cupcake Treats

Whisper White card base layered with Gorgeous Grape and How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper.
I stamped the greeting from the Sweetest Thing stamp set and cut it out with the Jar of Sweets Framelits  I used another sheet of Designer Series Paper to cut out the cupcake edgelit.  I cut the cupcakes apart and only used two of them for this card.  I used the outline die of the  cupcake, and cut  it out with designer series paper.  I then cut it at the mid point to look like frosting and placed it behind the cupcake.  The background shows thru as the paper liner for my cupcake

Flowers and Candy

Have you checked out the Sale-a-bration items?   The Country Floral Embossing folder creates beautiful details for your card.   I used Fresh Fig for my card base and added a layer of Whisper White using this embossing folder.   I stamped the greeting on a 1/2" piece of scrap and wrapped around the embossed layer.   I stamped the candy dishes with Fresh Fig and added the candy pieces.  I pulled out my Stampin'  Blends and added random colors to the  candy pieces.    This stamp set was not on my wish list when the catalog was released but, I am so so glad I added it to my last order.   Sale-a-bration ends on March 31, 2019 and some items have already sold out.  Place a $50 order before tax and shipping and you can choose the Country Floral Embossing folder as your Sale-a-bration item.

Sweet Celebration

Melon Mambo card base layered with  Designer Series Paper from How Sweet It Is/  This card is quick to make.   I stamped the greeting on a scrap of whisper white 1/2" wide.  and wrapped it around the designer series paper.  I added candy pieces from Jar of Sweets Framelits in Whisper White, Gorgeous Grape and Coastal Cabana.

Bright Birthday

Melon Mambo Card base layered with Gorgeous Grape and  Designer Series Paper from How Sweet It Is.  Greeting from Coastal Cabana Card stock and stamped with Gorgeous Grape,  Border detail stamped with Melon Mambo Ink.  I cut this out with Jar of Sweet Framelits   I added a strip of Metallic Edge Ribbon in Whisper White.  Additional candy pieces cut from the Jar of Sweet Framelits.  I used some Epoxy droplets that were recently in the clearance rack

Triple Time Technique

First time trying this fun technique.  I randomly stamped flowers in Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove, Crushed Curry and Mango Melody on card stock.     I used Soft Suede for center of some flowers.    Card Base is Grapefruit Grove.  I used Rectangle Stitched Framelits for layers.  Bow cut from Doily Builder Thinlits.   Greeting  from Tea Together and cut out with Jar of Sweets Framelits

 

Pastel Birthday

Coastal Cabana Card Base.   I added Whisper white using Happy Birthday Thinlits.   Detailed Birthday Edgelits is also cut with Whisper White.  Cupcake Base is also Coastal Cabana and the Icing uses Blushing Bride cardstock.  I found a small scrap of retired Strawberry Slush that I used for heart and cherry.  Lovely Lipstick, Melon Mambo are great current catalog colors that would work for heart and cherry details.

Lemon Lime Twist Card

Another card featuring the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.  I choose this lovely print featuring Lemon Lime Twist for my background.  I love the Stitched Season Framelits that are in the Clearance Rack.  Greeting is from Southern Serenade.  I added three of the stems from Dear Doily stamp set and used Doily Builder Thinlits to cut out.   . I then  cut out a ribbon using a scrap of the Botanical Butterfly paper using the reverse side that features black and white designs.   The Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper  is one  of the Level 1 items that you can choose from in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  These items are free when you spend $50.00 on products before tax and shipping,

Beautiful Butterflies

I love any thing with butterflies on it.  The Sale-A-bration Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper has gorgeous butterflies in spring colors with reverse side in a black and white design.  I admit I don't usually use Designer Series Paper on my cards.  I love stamping too much!!!  So this time I tried minimal stamping and just used Butterfly Beauty Thinlits as my accent design.  The colors are Grapefruit Grove with Basic Black.  I added the Black Glittered Organdy ribbon.  Greeting is from Detailed with Love stamp set and punched out with Tailored Tags Punch.  I added Grapefruit Grove around edge of tag with dauber.

Scrappy Valenitne

I started the card with the leaves border from the Wonderful Floral Framelits.  I had Coastal Cabana pieces left from another project.  I added the three Blushing Bride hearts from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.  I also used some flowers from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits and Lovely Flowers Edgelits.   I cut the stems off some of the Blushing Bride flowers to get the look I wanted.    I scattered them around and attached after I was satisfied with the layout.  I added pearls for accent to some of the flowers.

Scrappy Hearts and Flowers

I have used several of the new Thinlits, Framelits etc on this card. They include   Lovely Flowers Edgelits, Be Mine Stitched Framelits, Rose Trellis Thinlits.  I used scraps of Blushing Bride and Coastal Cabana.  Card base is Lovely Lipstick.  I scattered the die cuts randomly around the heart gluing down as I was pleased with the layout.I finished the card with pears in the center of the five petal flower.

Flowers, Butterflies and Doily

Blackberry Bliss was used for butterflies, behind doily and card base.  Greeting from Forever Lovely is  also in Blackberry Bliss.  Stem is from Dear Doily.  I used Call Me Clover and added Fresh Fig to the edges.

Berry Burst and Butterflies

I did not have the Beauty Abounds on my wish list, but I am glad I added it to my order.  The Butterfly Beauty Thinlits have quickly become a favorite.  I like black and white with a bright color, and I had some Berry Burst left over from another project.    I really like the finished card.

Flowers Just for You

Berry Burst is a color I don't use very often, but it is a beautiful color for the base of the card.  I used a Stampin' Blend alcohol marker  in Mint Macaron for leaves and added additional leaves in Mint Macaron from the Wonderful Floral Framelits.  I left the flowers white and added Berry Burst to center using a marker.  I also added a few Butterflies from the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits.

Delightful Lattice

Lovely Lattice is the first Sale-a-bration item I have used.  I used Stampin' Blends in Old Olive, Pineapple Punch, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie. The organdy ribbon is also a Sale-a-bration item.  This ribbon comes in a package of 5 beautiful pastel colors.

Highland Roses

One of my favorite new stamp sets is Climbing Roses.  I love it when matching Framelits are offered.  Rose Trellis Thinlits has some great coordinating items.  My trellis is done in Fresh Fig.  The butterfly accents are also Fresh Fig.  They are part of the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits.  I used Highland Heather and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends for my roses.

Tiny Vases

Vibrant Vases in Gorgeous Grape with flowers in Stampin' Blends Pineapple Punch, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Soft Sea Foam.  I added both white pearls and some So Saffron Pearls. Blackberry Bliss butterflies were added using Butterfly Beauty Thinlits. Shelf is from Be Mine Stitched Framelits

Lovely Roses

I liked this stamp set for the lovely greetings.  I wasn't sure about the flower, but I thought I would give it a try.  What do you think?  Here is what I used to make the card.   I used Blushing Bride for card base. I added Merry Merlot butterflies from Butterfly Beauty Thinlits around the flowers stamped in Lovely Lipstick.  The leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green.  I love the Stitched Season Framelits from the clearance rack.  Happy Birthday from the stamp set Beautiful Bouquets.  The three hearts are stamped in the background with Lovely Lipstick ink.

Happy Dogs

Mint Macaron embossed with Tin Tiles Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder.  I used the Stamparatus and a mat to make the mirror image.  I then added part of the dots to make each dog unique.

The tiny butterflies are adorable in the new Butterfly Beauty Thinlits.  I used them to accent the daffodils from You're Inspiring.  Greeting is from Hand Delivered Hostess Set.  I also used the Stitch Season Framelits that are part of the clearance rack. Stampin'  Blends used in project are Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Call Me Clover.

Happy Birthday. for Dad

I don't make enough cards for men.  I decided today I would find a stamp set that would make a masculine card.              
This ended up being 4 stamp sets and 2 die sets to make this card.  Main stamp set is Barn Door.  The door sign had the word hello in it.  I remove that and the stamped Dad from Apron of Love.  The dog is from Sitting Here and Happy Birthday is from Hand Delivered.  Framelits used are Sliding Door and Lakeside Framelits.

Cake Decorating

It is good to be stamping again.  Life sometimes gets very busy.    For my card today, I wanted it to be bright and cheery.  I chose Daffodil Delight for my base.  I stamped the shell icing design using the Stamparatus in Daffodil Delight.  The flowers and leaves are from Cake Soiree.  I stamped them using Call Me Clover, So Saffron and Daffodil Delight.  I also used the Sweet Cake Framelits.
